We are here to enhance your language learning experience and promote cross-cultural awareness.

The LRC is a multimedia facility where you will find:
    · several workstations equipped with computers, headsets, flat screen TVs, VCRs and multiregional DVD players
    · 2 booths designed for language practice, voice recording and film viewing
    · audio files and software for course assignments and additional review
    · spell-checkers and language-specific keyboard input
    · a collection of audio and video resources, table games, books, and reference materials
    · lists of recommended web-based language resources

The LRC is a social space where you are invited to relax, have a cup of coffee, interact with other students, practice your language of study, or watch TV programming in several languages.

Tables, comfortable chairs and easels can be moved around for language tables, club meetings, review sessions, game nights, and movie nights.

You should also take advantage of the Cook Library’s great collection of DVDs.  Choose from hundreds of foreign films in many languages. DVDs can be checked out for several days.

To find out about language-related events on campus and in the community throughout the year, check out our Facebook page and follow us on Twitter.
