Welcome to the Jane Bancroft Cook Library! Our organization is devoted to your academic success.
      Cook Library is a place where students can discover a topic for a paper or project, get assistance with the research on that topic,  collaborate with colleagues in further developing the project, get writing assistance, help with surveys or other quantitaive aspect of the paper or project, develop foreign language skills to better undertsand resources not in English, and put the paper together using the most approriate technologies. Cook Library is a teaching and learning organization. Professionals with many skills are here to help you develop the skills you need to maximize your academic potential: librarians will help you develop lifelong information literacy skills, writing professionals and student writing assistants will help you perfect your writing and communication skills, a language expert will help you become proficient in a number of languages, a statistics expert will help you to better understand quantitative research, and our technology professionals are here to guide you through the ever-changing world of computers and other innovations.
      In addition to our services, we maintain a collection of more than 300,000 items and have access to more than 10 million electronic items. Our relationship with sister Florida university libraries as well as libraries around the world allow us to provide an exceptional interlibrary loan service. Students, faculty and staff can request materials not held by Cook Library from other libraries through our online form. If you need it, we can probably get it for you.
      Cook Library is a place where you can study quietly, work collaboratively with colleagues, have meetings, or take advantage of the rich technological and engaging environment of the Academic Resource Center (ARC). Have a cup of coffee while you are here.
